York, PA – The Pennsylvania State Building & Construction Trades Council today announced its endorsement of Democratic Auditor General Eugene DePasquale for re-election.

“I am greatly honored to receive the endorsement and support of the Pennsylvania State Building and Construction Trades Council,” said Eugene DePasquale. “I have had strong relationships with the hardworking members of the building trades since my time in the legislature and have always fought to ensure our state’s infrastructure is being rebuilt in a safe and responsible way. I am looking forward to working with the trades to develop cost effective solutions to projects across the Commonwealth that save taxpayers money in the long run while creating good-paying jobs.”

“The State Building and Construction Trades are proud to support Auditor General DePasquale for re-election. He has been a staunch advocate of working people across the state, as he has shown in his audits of the Department of Labor and Industry that found negligence in enforcing excessive overtime laws to protect healthcare workers or ensuring school districts construction projects are done as safely as possible and follow all building regulations,” said Frank A. Sirianni, President of the Pennsylvania State Building and Construction Trades Council. “We look forward to working with Eugene to ensure workers are protected and our state’s infrastructure is invested in a responsible way to taxpayers.”
